Notice of Public Hearings

The Town of Granite Quarry will hold concurrent legislative public hearings regarding petitions for Annexation and the initial zoning designation by Zoning Map Amendment (rezoning) of “Industrial (IND) Zoning District” for the owner, Jennifer M Earnhardt, of property located at 809 Eastbend Ln (Rowan County Parcel ID 405 006) by voluntary non-contiguous annexation into the town limits.  The property consists of approximately 82.46 acres.

The Town of Granite Quarry will hold a legislative public hearing regarding amendments to the Granite Quarry Development Ordinance to amend Article 8,  Table 8.1, Sec 2 to add certain uses within certain districts by inserting the symbol “A” upon such uses in the districting identified: Main Street (MS) District, “Cut Stone” and by amending Article 10, Sec 10.1 to add provisions for “Industry Uses as an Accessory to a Principal Use”. The draft ordinance ZTA-2026-11-09 is available for review at Town Hall and on the Ordinance page of the Town website Granite Quarry, NC > Government > Ordinances (granitequarrync.gov) for review.

The Mayor and Town Council invite you to attend the meeting to share your comments on the proposed amendment and annexation to be held on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 6:00 PM or as early thereafter as the agenda progression allows, at the Granite Quarry Town Hall, 143 N. Salisbury Avenue, Granite Quarry, NC 28146.
