Annual Free Mulch Giveaway
Each spring, the Town of Granite Quarry hosts a Free Mulch Giveaway to help residents enhance their landscaping and prepare for the growing season. The event is typically held at 1040 Mar Rock Drive and includes convenient on-site loading of mulch into trucks or trailers.
Who Can Participate?
Granite Quarry Residents: Mulch is provided free of charge with a valid driver’s license at check-in.
Nonresidents: May purchase a bucket load of mulch for a $10.
This annual program is a great way to maintain curb appeal and get ready for the Yard of the Month Contest, held from May through September.
Dates and times are announced each year—usually in early spring—on the Town’s website and social media.
To purchase mulch year-round, schedule an appointment by calling Town Hall at (704) 279-5596 or contacting the Public Works Director at Extension 213.
