Fish for Fun gives everyone the rare chance to cast a line in Granite Lake Park-a spot usually reserved for peaceful views. Held several times a year, this free, family-friendly event invites anglers of all ages to enjoy the great outdoors and maybe even catch dinner!

The pond is freshly stocked with catfish by NC Wildlife, and thanks to our Events Committee, free rods, reels, and bait are available to borrow. No license? No problem-NC Wildlife waives the requirement for the day! Whether you’re a seasoned fisherman or a first-time caster, Fish for Fun is the perfect way to make memories by the water.
