Arts in the Park was designed to celebrate all things ART! Granite Quarry Parks, Events & Recreation Committee wanted to put a special focus on our local student artists. This year was more difficult due to the recent pandemic keeping teachers and students separated. We were thrilled to have exhibits from Granite Quarry Elementary School and St Peter's Preschool. The event was well attended! There were approximately 30 artisan only vendors who brought the most creative and beautiful goods including folded book art, plants/succulents, metal wall hangings, wooden signs and other wooden crafts, and paintings from several artists. We also were excited to have a few other activities available such as local Boy Scout Troop #379 and Pack #328 were on hand to answer questions about scouting. The Pedal Factory was on hand with their mobile trailer to discuss bike safety, help out with any minor repairs and promote their very first Fun Ride in Granite Quarry on May 16th. Volunteers designed a few fun items with chalk for the little ones as well as a giant bubble area to keep both kids and adults entertained.
