April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. We are very proud of the work Granite Quarry Police Department's Investigator Todd Taylor does with the Terrie Hess Child Advocacy Center. He was recently awarded the Friend of the Child Award at their Annual Brunch and Awards Ceremony. Investigator Taylor was also instrumental is collecting shoes for the display done in Salisbury on the lawn and steps of the Rowan Museum. See story HERE. Also receiving awards were: Chamberlain Exterminators, LLC - Community Partner of the Year, Daisy Lemke - Volunteer of the Year, Sgt. Linn with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Dept. - MDT Partner of the Year, RCDSS Director Micah Ennis - President’s Award.
