The Granite Quarry Fire Department ran 693 calls to service in 2019, ran a successful smoke detector campaign with assistance from the American Red Cross, and logged countless hours of community service training and fire and life safety training with Granite Quarry Elementary. GQFD consists of 42 members both paid and volunteer that is staffed 24/7 for needs that arise. Granite Quarry has joined forces with Faith Fire Department and Rockwell Rural Fire Department for weekly training following the ISO standards for required training exercises to serve the respective communities better and promote comradery.
