Nestled in the heart of Granite Quarry an oasis of nature awaits you.  The Centennial Park's heavily wooded walking paths lie along side of a stream and extends from Bank Street northward, connecting to Granite Lake Park.

On the Bank street side of the park, a cool, shaded gazebo allows for a comfortable rest. The gazebo also makes for a convenient covered dining area after grilling out on the nearby charcoal grill. Two large granite slab tables provide plenty of serving and eating areas.

This park offers a little bonus for you if you're wanting the pleasure of a seemingly deep-woods outdoor dining experience without having to take a long walk.  If you park at the convenient parking spaces provided on Brown Street, which parallels the park on the south, then take several steps down a gentle slope into the heart of the park, you'll find a picnic area complete with table and charcoal grill.  It makes a great lunch get-a-way; one moment you're in town, the next moment you're surrounded by nature.
While strolling along the several paths you'll notice the sounds of birds and crickets as they replace the thoughts you brought. Conveniently placed rest benches allow you to pause and enjoy a moment amongst towering poplar and tall oaks.  Come spend some quiet time at Centennial Park.  You'll be glad you did.
